There are other men to talk about

Tex flirted with me over the weekend -- but he's cooled off a bit

I imagine thinking through the what ifs

and while I could put everything on pause and wait

I am not going to allow myself to do that

we will either find a way back together
or we won't

in the meantime

I've been on the phone with a very interesting man
who has a lot of what I look for in a long term partner

he makes me laugh
and challenges me
and is just bossy enough

and yes -- a vanilla guy

we haven't met in person yet
but have ruined 2 nights' sleep for each other staying on the phone way too long

and we'll have to see what happens next

I am hopeful
that the right thing will play out
but not so foolish as to not give it a push along.
