So - my new house was built in the 50's
I love older houses
some people don't
they like vaulted ceilings
and open plans
but I like
small cozy spaces
and white painted cabinets
I'm thinking I might have a house warming when I get all settled in
and serve a mid-century menu
with a hot crab dip
and a jello mold with corn floating in it
and sloe gin fizzes
want to come?
there may be a turkey loaf....just sayin'
Oooooh, Aspic too? I'm there, but could I have a Manhatten instead of a fizz? :)
ReplyDeleteMine was built in 1929 and I wouldn't change the small rooms and no closets for anything...okay maybe the no closets :).. but the rest- I love the charm of it!
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you!

Jello and corn? Must be a southern thang! Throwing confetti for ya! My house is very old, nearly 200 years...closets aren't big enough but I too like my cozy rooms. Old drafty windows and personality and plenty of projects on the to do list. Wouldn't trade it for anything (well...except for Falling Waters). Happy house whammies!
