Ice breaker part 2

I think this is the song for my opening credits -- because there's this franticness to it.
When I think about my story -- I think about how at the beginning all the things driving my life were external  -- pushing me -- pulling me -- searching -- this song is all about others and finding things outside herself.  "I love you when I forget about me"

I want this song too -- I love a case of you -- because for me it's about being addicted to something/someone that's empty to her now -or bad for her -- and yet -- still sucks her in.

ahem -- sound like someplace I've been?

and this is the song I hope will play over the closing credits

  1. i do love Joni Mitchell. Want a wonderful choice of songs.

"wanna wreck my stockings in some jukebox dive..."

"stay with him if you can but be prepared to bleed...."

    Yeah.

And the Billy Joel one? O, yes. That's perfect.

i hate to say it, but i kinda like a guy that can make you think this much.

  5. I used to sing that Billy Joel song every night to/with my daughter I before I kissed her goodnight. She is now about to start high school. She just heard it playing on my computer and came in and said, "Mom, I remember you singing that!" brought tears to my eyes. Where did the time go? Enjoy the Pixie at this age, they grow up way too fast!

  6. @Alice -- but how lovely that she remembers it -- that it's such a fond memory for you both.
