Holy Minnie Mouse

I went to a birthday party today for twin 3 year olds -

they had a Minnie Mouse theme

we were greeted by Minnie Mouse head balloons
and Minnie Mouse Cake Pops
and
a huge Minnie Mouse Piñata

they did the whole magillah

now

I'm not a huge fan of giant birthday parties for children under the age of 6
in fact

I'm not a huge fan of them then

this party was swarming with kids
but then again
they know a lot of kids

I don't

and it was enjoyable
even though Pixie was intimidated enough that she basically wanted to hollow me out inside and crawl in like a Tonton.

I wandered about and visited and it all seemed normal
until something rather unsettling happened

Minnie showed up with her giant pink shoes and wandered around the party..

to watch herself be cannibalized and her body beaten with sticks while jeering children urged each other on to "hit her in the belly" and then pounce upon her entrails when she burst open on the ground

it was a bit unsettling.

I think when the time comes I'll just get a bounce house and call it a day.
