Battles

The Pixie and I have had a horrid week

She escaped the crib
and the transition to a big girl bed has been a real brawl

and in the past few nights it has deteriorated to include poo

lots

and lots

of poo

I have cleaned her carpet

SEVERAL times

neither of us are sleeping well
and

while last  night I would have told you that I was ready to put the rails back up and just put a top on the fucking thing

I went out and bought a bed rail today
and we seem to be doing much better

not sleeping sooner

but

at least staying more in bed

I think she feels more secure

on the dating front

vanilla men need to get their shit together

and

I've met all the kink men on the planet

all of them

well

all the local ones

I think I'm dating the wrong fucking gender.

  3. Kids are never a finished project. They're always a work in process (progress?) just like we are. And some points along that road are definitely more challenging than others. Talk to her a little bit (I'm always a talker) about what SHE wants and about what you want. That you want her out of the crib because... maybe she wants to stay in the crib because... I get she's a very little kid, but still, it IS a habit you want to get into.

And men... I think tons of women turn to other women because men can be such a pain in the ass.

  4. Are you journaling your adventures with Pixie? Becasue as frustrating and difficult as this is right now in the moment? You are going to laugh yourself silly about the poo war someday, probably at her batchelorette party.

Remember the great Mom motto... What goes around comes around. I try not to feel sorry for my kids, the new parents, so I hide my I told you so smile :)
