I haven't talked to Tex much - and perhaps that's for the best -- I've been crabby
I had problems with some of the projects at work this week
one of which cost us over $600
Pixie's visit for Wednesday was cancelled and rescheduled for today -- unfortunately they didn't call me about it until I had already made the 30 mile trip to the town where the visits are held
Tonight was the agency Christmas party -- the Pixie got to see her old Foster Parents -- which is always horribly disruptive and upsetting for her when we leave (and the Foster Mom did get in a few mini-digs -- but much better than usual)
Some holy terror bit Pixie AGAIN at daycare
and the huge pile of presents that were donated to her (which feels very strange to me -- I don't need people to buy us gifts -- but -- whatever) -- includes a wrapped package that laughs demonically -- not quite in cute Elmo style - but a bit closer to the jack in the box sound from the movie Elf.
perhaps I need a drink

the only alcohol is a bottle of Pink Grapefruit Schnapps that someone gave me for Christmas this year -- which is the most vile liquid ever bottled

bitching done -- I'm going to watch some netflix
and work on a hat
and hit the hay

The holiday do this to people... And Talking Tina toys are terrifying! Merry Christmas and I hope things settle down soon :)

Can you tell me what schnapps taste good? Funny thing in our house all the annoying toys seem to get very low battery's. Must be the weather. If the visit is canceled here the next would be rescheduled for 6 week later. Last mine had was begin of Nov next is in mid jan. I will send you,a virtual massage the one I am getting at the moment.

Good grief, that's a lot to deal with! And people who give gifts that make less-than-pleasant noise should be - well, I guess they should just be stopped from doing it. Hoping things get lighter for you soon...

If you do get noisy toys that you hate, and the kids like, you can put stickers over the speakers which deadens the sound a bit. The kids like the stickers, the thing still talks or plays annoying music, just not as loud.
