Playing favorites

We all do have our favorites - -don't we?

for me

there's only one

I have others -- for

well

to hold me over

to work with in a pinch

but they don't feel right

they don't work the same

they feel

unnatural to me

foreign

I wish this weren't the case

because

I don't have the one I want right now
and it's hard to do without

even when we have to

which is why  I can't believe that I have misplaced YET ANOTHER size J crochet hook.

so instead of making a lovely soft red hat for one of my secret santa giftees

instead

I spent the night cleaning out my yarn bag
and rolling new yarn into balls

yawn

Seriously - I'm supposed to use the G or the H

after you go J - there's no other way.
