Purging

Tex is away for several days
something I never much enjoy
but understand

I would normally talk to him about my plans -- but as he's not around I'll share here (he'll read it nearly right away anyway

I've been thinking about what I want for next year
and one of the things I want is to pare down all the things that I have

because my possessions are starting to own me

I have too much stuff
too much clutter

and it makes it hard to manage

I plan to move in the next year
and paring down now is a good plan

I have several days of work to get done

and only one free day to do it in

so I'll do my best
divide the house
and get brutal

By New Years Day I plan to have a significant pile of boxes marked

GoodWill
Garage Sale and
Trash

and I'll start the new year fresh

at least in my imagination

So

Do you put old sex toys in GoodWill, Recycling or Garage Sale?

and what is the going rate for used vibrators?

    Good luck with your cleanout. Its so hard to part with things, you will get rid of this then next week you will need it! For old toys goodwill them and hope it makes somebody happy. Don't put them in the trash it can be a bit embarrassing when your bin is emptied and it falls out.

    You can't see me, but I'm beaming here. It is the time of the year for purging...readying our nest for winter and all...we've been doing it here as well. I'm a big fan of purging, yet I also know how hard it can be when one has kids...but you have a plan and that's the first step!

    And it will help you not miss Tex so much.

    Okay, nothing really helps that, but it will keep your mind a bit busy so you'll only miss him every *other* minute.

    I want to purge. To me, it'd be easier to just throw it all away.

    I've gone through periods where I was very good at purging. And my house was pretty and open. Though sometimes I feel I fight my family on this, every step of the way. And right now my house is cluttered with books and lego and junkmail and frying pans. Weird?

    I think you should throw the old sex toys out. I wouldn't buy second hand ones. Would you? Maybe that's prissy of me!
