vanilla

I'm drowning in vanilla today

baking

ironically with this amazing vanilla my brother sent me 

that rocked my caramel apples by creating this floral note to the coating

and 

work

and

crocheting little hats

I asked him my question

and

apparently I misinterpreted that I need to ask it

so

I worked myself up to ask 

when I didn't need to

silliness

it's hard sometimes when you're far apart to know

what he's thinking

it would be easier if he were here

but

he's not

and he's a long way from getting here

so

vanilla

is my middle name

and

as long as I make sure my vanilla is fragrant

and delicious

and amazing

then in the end

everything will balance out

I have to enjoy the now as much as the future
