a bit of yuck

Last night I didn't realize Downton Abbey was on

I always DVR everything I watch because I'm such a princess about watching commercials
so it's not unusual for me to tune in 30 minutes later....

(what an anachronistic word "Tune" is - like "Don't touch that dial")

....so I can fast forward through the commercials.

So around 835 I realized it was on and switched over.

and before I knew it -- it was 10

crap

bedtime

and I still had about 30 minutes left -- with no commercials on PBS my normal viewing pattern hadn't caught me up with real time

so I sent a message

"Daddy -- may I stay up to watch he rest of Downton Abbey?"

His response sank my hopes

"is it DVRed"

CRAP -- of course it is -- I DVR it ALL

"Yes,  Daddy"

He ordered it switched off telling me to go to bed now

and I turned it off right away

and turned off the rest of the house

but being told no
and following the direction

was rewarded by that good girl feeling
making me just as happy as a "yes"

sigh

twisted fuck that I am

***********
and apparently he was right -- because I woke up in the middle of the night with my tummy hurting (from what I do not know - I ate a light dinner and the baby ate the same with no ill affects

oh shoot

that cupcake

maybe that cupcake was overkill

damn it

it was good too

well

I spent 230 to about 530 feeling icky and going to the potty

so after hitting snooze 3 times
and even turning on the shower to warm up to force myself to start the day

I called an audible
and took the baby to daycare
and myself back to bed

  2. I don't even know what Downton Abbey is... but then again I think I am one of the few who has never seen 1 second of Breaking Bad either.
Hope you are better today. I have been fighting strep throat for 3 days, and won't let it win. Sounds like Tex has your best interest at heart, which is so very wonderful and you sound content (even if you are sick).
