What a day

I had to fire a great guy today
he screwed up
and he screws up regularly

and yes

it cost him his job

it sucked
and I was sort of done early on today

on top of it
the voice was just getting worse and worse

so

off to the doctor
well
the clinic

I got there at 3
and waited an hour to get in
where

well

they left me to rot
with Zoom ( a horrible Tim Allen movie that actually has Roadrunner sound effects in it)
playing on the TV

and I waited
and waited
and finally -- decided to go to sleep
over an hour later -- they came in

and wrote me 5 Rx -- and gave me a steroid shot

and orders to come back in a week.

I went in with Laryngitis and came out with enough drugs for an Ebola outbreak

so after my nap I rushed to get Pixie -- clearly after the meltdown time and shoved snack in her mouth on the way home (yes - -it helped -- but I refuse to give her juice yet -- she does NOT need to learn that water is boring)

and am finally home with all my Rx filled -- and steroids giving me a lot of voice back
and orders to rest

I'm ready to abuse my Codeine cough syrup and sleep this day away
