Tex has cut me some slack and has given me the opportunity to think about my rules
and
get back with the program
I have made a list
and sent it to him
I did try to amend some rules but he's too clever for that and changed them back
I tried to push shopping to Sundays and instead got it shuffled to Fridays (which will mean shopping in a busy store with a baby -- or getting my mom to watch her.
I will work it out.
He's trying to free up my weekend
although honestly
what else am I going to use that weekend time for anyway?
ok
enough of that
I had a great weekend with the BFF -- ugly dress has been selected
wedding dress marked for alterations
Bride told to do LESS crossfit if she hopes to fit into her dress
(it boggles the mind that one can be lazier and get smaller)
the Pixie's allergies are rotten and bothering her -- so lots of time wiping her nose
and
I had a nice dinner with Mr C and his daughter tonight
which was so nice
I got in the car and was able to reflect on how far we've come
how far I am from the broken hearted girl (and yes -- I say "girl" -- since it was my first heartbreak in many many years) to the friends we are now
I am happy for him
and happy to see how is daughter has grown - nearly 5' tall now -- not the energetic 4 year old any more -- but as precocious as ever.
and happy that he has found love and makes the long distance thing really work
they are so very good together.
*******
tomorrow
Jury Duty
wish me luck
cheers--and wish me luck with getting back with the program
and on the right track.
I shop on Friday nights after work, for that exact reason... to free up my weekend. i found that my entire weekend was eaten up by errands and housework. Shopping on Friday nights initially seemed like a bad idea. It's a bit frenetic, but I have become accustomed to it, and it works for me. Good Luck Beatrice!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason around here, mouse shops on Momdays. Tried Friday but the food was all gone by Monday. ;) but yes, it's all to free up the weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
mouse
I HATE shopping - and often other people around here do most of it - which I am grateful for. It all started through shopping with babies - I would do just about anything not to have to do that. I don't know what your arrangements are, but can you shop before you pick her up from daycare?

i get that he wants to control you from afar...but I don't get the idea of taking a tired end-of-the-day baby grocery shopping on a friday night when for now it could be done at a time when there are less people (less germs!) and less stress on the both of you. I guess I'm in a mood anyway, but they don't have to make *every* damn thing so difficult.
ReplyDeletea very cranky nilla
who is also a bit of a germophobe
I kinda agree with Nilla. I'm tired and in no mood to be around people by the end of the week. Saturday isn't a whole lot better, but at least Little One and I are both rested and can deal with the crowd.
ReplyDelete1) She is the MOST ADORABLE CHILD! My daughter and I were both enchanted, and I loved seeing the interaction between you two. It was so great seeing you so happy.
ReplyDelete2) I'm very happy that we have built our friendship. You mean a lot to me, and always will. Mrs. C loves that you and I have what we do, and she thinks you're great too.
