Tonight's meltdown brought to you by the letter F and the letter U

The Pixie is exceptionally cranky tonight

really

any time it's after 6 when I pick her up

it's going to be mayhem

she's over hungry
and usually falls down on the floor when I pick her up and has a fit

not a bit like the baby who is happy to see me (the window for happy baby seems to be 5:00pm to 5:56pm)

so we came home
screaming like I was the Spanish Inquisition the whole way to the car
then
leaping on her food

and splashing momma in the tub

tonight she knew she needed sleep

as she howled nightnight nightnight nightnight as PJs were procured

and now

5 minutes later

silence

momma knows best

and I imagine I have a few years before she figures out what F and U stand for

    1. I would have been afraid to give her ammo to shoot at my head -- she was past hungry -- lol - poor Pixie.

  2. I have to give my kiddo a quick hit of juice sometimes....And he will scream and fight...i think its low blood sugar...but it only takes seven minutes until he is himself again. Maybe a quick quarter cup of juice would give her the body and needs to get through the drive.

  4. You'll be amazed to learn how quickly they figure out the Fand U deal.

But, yes it must be in the air, or we've entered the terrible two's :(

  5. The middle child is now 26 and a new father, but if you look down my upstairs hallway, at just the right moment in early morning, when the angle of the sun hits the face of the wall just right, you can still see the faint outline of the 2 foot tall word he inscribed there at 2 years old........A S S...

He reached two milestones that day...first bad word and first graffitti. The pixie will figure it out WAAAY faster than you believe, and far faster than you wish.

p.s. if duct tape doesn't work, try the juice thing. Maybe that should be juice first, duct tape later. ;)
