The Pixie is being a complete spazz today
over the top in manic energy
sometimes I wonder if this is a sign of the troubles her parents (allegedly) have with mental illness
and then I remind myself that temper tantrums that come and go are nor....
********
ok -- insert pause to whisk the baby out of the tub with now has poop floating in it
******
....mal for a toddler
and maybe they just gave them lattes today at daycare
no hair washing -- and now I get to clean out the tub when the Pixie goes to bed
I'm becoming stressed about her court case -- I need to relax and not worry about things I have no control over -- but it's hard to not play the what if game and go to a bad place
but when I am focused as I should be
I just focus on being her mom
and let the rest fall to the wayside
and worry about it another day
That's what you have to do.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's the hardest fucking thing. Ever. Even harder than rice on ass. Sending hugs. We all play the what if game (what if I lost 10 pounds...what if I ..No. Stop. just be)..
See? I can even come over here to YOUR blog, spazz out on my own what if list and entertain you with my little fits. You are not alone.
Well...as far as the poo in the tub is concerned. ya. you are alone. (I only had that happen ONCE with 4 kids. How did you get so lucky? LOL)
Have you considered getting a "rain" showerhead (uber gentle) and showering with her? my kids loved that and it seems to maybe forestall the poo thing. (or you could put her on the potty before tubtime. Just for a minute or two. Yes. She is young. But it will help in the long run. Trust me on this!)
okay, done throwing advice around like poo in a tub.
(gigglign)
nilla
I think Pixie is just fucking with you. My Little One only pooped in the tub twice, I think. How DID you get so lucky?
ReplyDeleteI should take my own advice when I say don't worry about tomorrow's problems today. You can only control what you do.
At least she didn't wake up from a nap, not make a sound and quietly paint the wall behind the crib with poo from her diaper. The whole family's portrait done in excrement. Talk about s**t eating grins.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to tell you to not play "what if" because most of us do it. I am praying for you both.
I will say that if you are truly concerned about hereditary mental illness talk to a therapist so you know what to look for. As a person who has a disorder, I'm pretty confident in saying that many of them don't start to manifest until puberty approaches, and I'm sure today is just toddler hyperdrive, it happens, no caffeine necessary. :)
((((Hugs))))
I don't think any of mine ever poo'ed in the tub. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd say don't worry til trouble comes. You'll get some warning...
