1 Day, 13 hours and some change
I have a ton to get done
Laundry for the little one -- I don't have enough clothes in her current size for colder weather -- I need to do some shopping (oh - Teeeeexxxxx....?) so I'll be laundering everything tonight to pack her back the next day
and this morning - she woke up at the crack of dawn -- so I got up and took her to daycare bright and early
except
I wasn't supposed to
I was supposed to keep her here for the agency visit
So I'm home -- tidying up -- some things (like wood glue out for my project) are verboten - and have to be locked up
I was exhausted last night and asked permission to just go to sleep
I felt fine
just worn out
today is my late day at work - so I'll dry my hair in a few minutes and go back to get the baby to bring her home for the visit so I can take her back to daycare again
and dinner with the parents tonight
I never forget these things
I just don't
but here I am
scrambling
because my mind is clearly elsewhere
I guess my facade of being cool, calm and collected isn't being bought any more since Tex asked me if I was running around like a chicken with her head cut off
poor chicken
she dies at the end of that story you know
but we all know - it will come together
and this time tomorrow I will be nearly ready to go
packed
smiling
and waiting for my 1/2 day at work to wrap up.
NOT a dead chicken at all.
Calm down every thing will be alright. Wishing you a great weekend away with Tex!
ReplyDeleteHope the white glove inspection went well for you and Pixie. It sounds as if care kids should be in cotton wool, A load of bollocks
Hugs Ashly xx
Maybe it's a good thing? You'll have pretty big and important distractions to carry you through today.
ReplyDeleteJust take a few breaths and tackle things...You'll be fine. Pixie will be fine...
Hugs,
mouse
Breathe! (I know, as if, right?)
ReplyDeletekeep doing that. Good luck with yr agency visit...and keep breathing!
Those butterflies must be doing cartwheels just now... :) Enjoy the ride, my friend.
