quiet time

I'm going in a bit later today -- I decided to take a bit of quiet time

yes -- I could have done a load of laundry
or finished that cute hat I'm making for the Pixie

but instead
I just decided to take a bit of time
to have some peace and quiet

I'll get the baby up in about 10 minutes
but for now
it's just time to enjoy a bit of peace

One of the things about visiting Tex was that his house is a bit like mine

we both enjoy a quiet house

so right now

when all I can hear
is the ceiling fan
and the clicking of my keys

I think about how that was one of the things that made me feel so comfortable there

(isn't it amazing what a good night's sleep will do for you, too?)
